The Closer Bra

I’ve had this bra since March and have found that I need another because I love it so much. I have a few other sports bras but they pale in comparison, and I’d prefer all my sports bras to be this one going forward for my runs. Having a large chest can be discouraging when running because of discomfort but this bra actually makes me feel secure. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been a long time Handful customer, a 34 G/H in an XL. I recently finished active treatment for Stage 2 breast cancer and am a member of the Breast Friends Forever club. I wore a bra 24/7 for 3.5 months. These bras were in that rotation. I loved the zip-front when I had limited mobility. It was so nice not to have a slingshot closure. Cary helped me even out my cup sizes with free stackable pads. Today, I’m sitting in a coffee shop, NED and double stuffed in a Closer bra feeling like a million bucks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You helped me feel pretty again. ❤️

Perfect for large busts and light to moderate activities. I wear it to teach barre3. My only complaint is I wish they’d give this style more attention and update the available colors/patterns!

Nice soft fabric and I love the mesh detail. I have shoulder issues so am always looking for front closing options, and this one is great! 2 hooks and a solid zipper keep you locked and loaded, the mesh keeps it cute. The pads are a little large, so I have to adjust them just right. Otherwise it’s perfect!

I love this bra, it's so cute on but more importantly it's seriously supportive. I did size up on this style just because I prefer the way it looks and fits with this style. The mesh and the zipper are such nice details, I love that this bra is modest but not boring.

Survived a Rumble class without opening up! Might size down to hole the girls down a little more snugly next time. Overall success!

Perfect for post mastectomy support!

Love it. Been trying on every sports bra I can find and have returned every one. I could tell this was a keeper the minute I zipped up. So darn comfortable! Did the "bounce" test and was amazed at the support. It's light and airy. Perfect for my African safari coming up where I'll be in a bouncing jeep many hours a day. I'm 5'2", 128 lbs. Usually wear a 36C/D. The medium is perfect. (My T-shirt size too). Thank you Handful for making the perfect sport bra for me.

Love this bra and the convenience of the front closure when I am sweaty from a run. However, I was hopeful that changes had been made so that the pads fit better than in the older ones I have. Unfortunately the pockets for the pads are still too small causing the pads to fold and get lumpy. Not an attractive look as well as being uncomfortable. Yes, I can take the pads out but that extra coverage is part of why I love Handful bras. Also they have replaced the 'original lights out' pads that have a little shaping to them with the 'thin lights out' basically flat pads.

If you are doing high impact and need the girls to stay put, this is the comfiest high impact bra. It is compressive without being uncomfortable. It doesn't dig into your ribs nor shoulders. And the great colors bring fun to overcast days!

I heard about this bra through 2 Beachbody coaches. When I saw they had their warehouse sale I thought I would give it a try and I absolutely love it!! It stays in place is very comfortable and it's NOT one of those bras that you can't wait to take off when you get home. I would highly recommend

purchased this on sale. Great deal for $20. Like the bra and fit, however will await for the 2xl size to come out as I think it will fit better but it is a comfortable bra.

I purchased this bra after purchasing my first Handful bra in a local running store. I love how it hooks as well as zips - added security to reduce the bounce!

After a sweaty workout it’s nice to have a bra that doesn’t required contortionist moves and strained muscles to remove. Having the front close is great and I appreciate the hooks to keep it from just popping off.

This one was not for me. I found it too hard to clasp in the front & when I finally got it zipped up, the zipper would not stay up. It was also too tight for me. I’m a 36c, bought a medium. I have several other Handful bras in medium that fit fine.

Will be purchasing another soon!

I love the closer bras! I've tried other brands with a zipper on the sports bra and they do not even come close to the closer bra. I am so impressed with the quality and really appreciate the fit. It's snug enough to feel supportive and yet I don't feel like it's suffocating. Highly recommend these bras!

As always Handful exceeded expectations. Their Closer bra is perfect for everyday wear while chasing around an active toddler. I feel comfortable and supported all day long.

I bought a closer (front zip) bra and recently decided to wear it for my swim top with a plain black swim short. Worked out great! a little snug getting it on, but with the hook and loop closer plus zipper, it was worth the effort. Definitely a pretty bathing top in the shades of blue I bought. Next time I will order a size up. Workmanship and fabric are excellent.

Love this bra! Supportive for high impact workouts while still being cute and comfortable. Really great quality. The zipper doesn't budge either!

As a runner as well as a HIIT & Flow teacher, I put my sports bras through their paces. My Closer bra was more than up to the challenge! Girls stayed in place without feeling like I couldn’t breathe. PS I love the pads being labeled!!!

I wanted to love this bra. It is exceedingly well made and attractive, however it did not provide anything near high-impact support. Also my breasts were squished to the center of the bra. I thought about ordering the next size down, but I don’t think I would have been able to close it.

I had a breast reduction 9 weeks ago, had multiple complications and therefore a slow recovery, and this is the only bra that doesn’t irritate my incisions outside of the very bulky surgical one they gave me after the procedure. I am about to order a second. I love it! And I have tried SO many.

This is the best bra I have ever owned (sports or otherwise). It is so comfortable and wears well all day. I love the cooling feeling of the fabric. Will definitely be my go to bra from now on!

Bra is soft. Band is sturdy for support. Thus is my first bra with handful. I like the zip front because I have a bad shoulder, makes it easy to get on and off. I was worried about a uniboob... this doesn't give one but the side book could use a little more shape I'll buy again with a sale. But I won't pay full price. I used it for the first time for a 6 mile run.. pretty good support. No chafing. So that's a win. I purchased a meduim I'm a 36 C cup.. and hi between small and medium t-shirt size.

According to the sizing chart, I would be right between a size M and L, grateful for the tip that suggested bra size would be same as shirt size, which for me is M. The M fit great and I love the support of this bra, the style and color is also beautiful. I think this bra will be great for high impact workouts

Perfect for breastfeeding moms. I needed great support for my training runs. So glad these sports bras were recommended to me. Cannot say enough good things!

Well, the site said to use your t-shirt size to order the size you want. I wear a large in t-shirt, so ordered a large in this bra. I think I should have ordered an X-large.

This is a very comfortable and supportive sports bra. The hooks in the front are very helpful when closing the zipper and it's very adjustable to create the perfect fit. I like the fun patterns it comes in too!

I love the wide, firm chest band on the Closer and the Double Down styles. The Closer is comfortable and secure (much more secure than zip front styles from other brands) thanks to the internal hooks. As a breast cancer survivor I have been searching for good bras that meet all my new needs. My only suggestion for The Closer (for those who need to know, or those who might have influence over future style adjustments) is that it could use a bit more side-boob coverage. My mastectomy scars show in this bra more than in the Double Down or the Original Adjustable. Right around where the solid fabric meets the mesh fabric on the sides it could use a little more width for coverage. My implant reconstruction has increased my need for side coverage. The Double Down is fabulous for that, so I know that the folks at Handful know their business. I will definitely use the Closer for the days when I just can't face the sports bra wrestling match.

I am a breast cancer survivor. I bought this bra specifically for wearing after my lumpectomy surgery as it is recommended to wear compression while you recover. The front zip made this bra MUCH easier to get in and out of, being that I couldn’t lift my arm post-surgery! This bra is seriously comfy and very adjustable. It held up just fine through me wearing it literally 24/7 for weeks, not to mention many washings during that period. It’s also pretty darn cute! I will say that depending on the brand, I usually wear a medium and sometimes a small in sports bras. In this case, the small was just right!

Love this bra for running. It provides great support but feels soft. Makes me feel secure, but comfortable. The hooks and zipper were a puzzle for me at first, but I’m getting better at it and loving it!

Ok, you have to fasten those little catches before zipping or it won’t work! The bra was very comfortable, and didn’t move around or dig in during yoga, and I wore it all day. The only things I didn’t like were some bulging flesh on the sides that weren’t enclosed, and the uniboob appearance.

Love the bra! It was on sale and there wasn’t a large available or I would’ve sized up. A little snug but I’ll still wear it.

I have 3 Closer bras. They are comfy and are great for working out

I find front zip sports bras much easier to take off and on, especially when you are sweaty or wet. (I often use mine under a wetsuit for kayaking.) But good ones are hard to find. The Handful Closer bra is so comfortable, breathable and I really like that it has two front hooks, with a secure zipper. It also doesn't smash but is supportive.

Overall great bra! Works great for running and is super cute. One of my main requirements for a good sports bra is that it doesn't dig into my arm pits / side boob / shoulders -- which it doesn't. I'm not sure about the other sizes, but the pads for the XS don't sit well in the bra. They are too big for the pocket so the edges need to curl to fit when the bra isn't being worn. They fit fine when the bra is being worn because the material is elastic, but the pads need to be uncurled and adjusted each time it's worn so that's annoying.

Sexy sports bra, buy it!

Great fit, super cute, easy to get off, great support. The only flaw is the large seam on the inside that run right along the bottom of my breasts. It chafed me pretty badly on a 6 mile run. Fix that problem and you’ll have a perfect bra.

The closer bra was too small and too difficult to clasp and the zipper didn't want to stay in place in order to zip it.

Size small fits perfect for me! No pinching anywhere, truly the best fit.

This is the perfect sports bra especially for someone like me who has had a mastectomy .. it accommodates my prosthetic perfectly ! Thank you Handful for making a bra for breast cancer survivors !

I am in love with Handful bras. This is my third bra, but my first closer bra. After having my double mastectomy and getting my implants I wanted something with a lot of support when I workout. The closer bra definitely fits that category, so supportive! I will be getting more!
