Overnight oats are a simple, nutrient dense, easy food prep that's packed with vitamins, fiber and antioxidants while also being hearty and delicious. Top this light and creamy treat with a half cup of fresh berries or peaches and some crunchy toasted nuts or granola and you'll have the perfect breakfast so you're ready to go out and Grab Life by the Handful. Here's how to make it:
1 cup of lowfat milk or unsweetened almond or soy milk
2/3 cup of uncooked steel cut oats
1 1/2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons of cinnamon
3 tablespoons of chia seeds
Combine all the above ingredients in a medium size bowl and mix well. Cover and place in the fridge for 8 hours then it's ready to eat! Top with your favorite fresh berries and crunchy granola and you'll have a delicious and healthy start to your day.
