Cathy Spencer-Browning

on August 29, 2016

Cathy Spencer-Browning is an extremely active woman with a deeply held passion for improving people’s lives through physical activity. “Cath,” as her friends call her, has dedicated her entire career to fitness and has worked at the forefront of the industry for decades. Whether she’s leading workouts in person or on professional exercise videos, Cath likes a look that is athletic while still showing her feminine side. She first wore a Handful Bra years ago, and she’s been loving them ever since!

As the Vice President of Programming & Training at MOSSA, Cath leads a team that develops group fitness programs for health and fitness facilities. Through MOSSA workouts, education videos, and instructor training, Cath has touched thousands and thousands of lives all around the world. She spearheaded the launch of the MOSSA workouts for Xbox Fitness, featured exclusively on Xbox One, which quickly became the most popular workouts offered by Microsoft. Over a million people are now moving to MOSSA workouts each week, and Cath’s mission is to drive that number higher and higher with every single workout the team creates.

A native Australian, Cath holds a degree in Human Movement from the University of Wollongong, just south of her hometown of Sydney. She received Australia’s 2001 Fitness Professional of the Year Award, as well as the Canadian Fitness Professionals' 2002 Specialty Presenter of the Year Award. Cathy has also served on the Faculty Advisory Board of the American Council on Exercise, and she is an education provider for ACE, AFAA, and Canfitpro.

Cathy’s true loves are her daughters Riley and Colbi and her husband Terry. She enjoys photography, playing on her iPad, knitting, and reading books that stir her soul. Her favorite days are the ones she gets to spend with her family on the beach near their home-away-from-home in Sydney.
